Duties and Responsibilities of the Editorial Board and Editorial Committee
Publication Decisions
- The decision to publish or not to publish submitted articles lies with the Editorial Board and the Editorial Committee.
- When necessary, the opinion of the Scientific Committee may also be sought.
- All decisions are based on the outcomes of a double-blind peer review process, carried out by external reviewers.
- The names of reviewers are published on the journal’s website every two years.
- In its decisions, the Editorial Board adheres to the journal’s editorial policy and complies with applicable laws regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
Fairness and Non-discrimination
- All decisions made by the Editorial Board and Editorial Committee are based solely on the scientific merit, relevance, and originality of the article’s content, without discrimination against Authors on any grounds.
Confidentiality, Conflicts of Interest, and Restrictions on Use or Disclosure
- The Editorial Board and Editorial Committee undertake not to disclose any information regarding submitted articles to anyone other than the Author(s), the Editorial Staff, and the publisher.
- They also commit not to use the data or content of unpublished manuscripts without the explicit written consent of the Author(s).
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
- Double-blind peer review supports the Editorial Board and Editorial Committee in making publication decisions.
- The process is intended to help Authors improve their submission through constructive feedback.
- Reviewers are selected based on expertise in the subject area and linguistic competence.
Timeliness
- Reviewers who feel unqualified or unable to complete the review on time must promptly inform the Editorial Staff.
Objectivity and Fairness
- Reviews must be objective and supported by well-founded comments.
- Personal remarks or judgments about the Author are inappropriate.
- Comments must not be ideologically biased or based on personal assumptions.
Reference to Relevant Literature
- Reviewers may suggest the inclusion of relevant works overlooked by the Author.
- They should report substantial similarities or overlaps with other known works.
Conflicts of Interest and Confidentiality
- Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents.
- Information obtained during peer review must not be used for purposes other than evaluation.
- Reviewers must decline to review if they recognize a conflict of interest (prior collaboration, competition, institutional ties).
Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
Scientific Originality and Absence of Plagiarism
- Authors must guarantee that the article is unpublished, original, and not under consideration elsewhere unless permission has been granted.
- If republished, the journal must be acknowledged as the original venue.
- Authors must comply with editorial guidelines and properly cite all sources.
- Ideas, data, and verbatim content from others must be paraphrased or quoted with clear attribution.
Revisions and Amendments
- Authors may be required to revise or expand their manuscript based on reviewers’ comments.
- Anonymous evaluations may be shared with Authors.
- Authors may provide comments or objections for Editorial Staff review.
- The Editorial Staff may make formal or editorial changes after first proof correction.
Authorship
- Authorship must be clearly indicated.
- Anyone who contributed meaningfully must be credited as a co-author.
- Other relevant contributions must be acknowledged.
- In co-authored submissions, each Author’s contribution must be clearly stated.
Publication Rights for Images, Data, and Other Materials
- Authors must hold the rights to publish images, data, or materials not created by them or have obtained permission.
- The publisher ensures compliance with intellectual property laws.
Conflicts of Interest
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- Funding sources must be clearly indicated.
Correction of Errors
- Authors must promptly notify the Editorial Staff of any significant errors in the published article and supply necessary information for corrections.
