Mattia Fumagalli holds a PhD in Institutions and Policies from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, where he teaches in the Master’s programs in European and International Policies and in Policies for International Development Cooperation. He col-laborates with the PhD program on the historical module and con-tributes to ASERI in communication and editorial projects. His research focuses on the Horn of Africa and international security; he is the author of Contemporary Ethiopia: State Composition and Human Environmentt (EDUCatt, 2022). He is a member of the Royal African Society, the Italian Society of International History (SISI), and the Italian Association for African Studies (ASAI).
